Hotel Information Systems strengthens its partnership with Kor Hotel Group
Lake Forest, CA (December 22, 2004) Hotel Information Systems, a division of MAI Systems Corporation (OTCBB: MAIY.OB), has been selected to implement its property management system including its integrated condo management application at Kor Hotel Groups newest property, Hotel Blake, located on Printers Row in Chicago!
Kor Hotel Group has already implemented solutions from Hotel information Systems at five of their non-condo properties. The agreement to expand the partnership by installing Hotel Information Systems in Kor Hotel Groups latest hotel-condo affirms the success the luxury hotel operator has had with Hotel Information Systems over the past five years.

HIS-MSC Company Ltd, a joint-venture company of Hotel Information Systems Asia Pte Ltd and Metro Systems Corporation Public Company Ltd., announced the award of a contract by Central Hotels and Resorts (CENTRAL), a leading hotel group in Thailand, to deploy HIS Internet-native epitome Enterprise Solutions.!
Leveraging on Virtual Private Network, HIS will deploy epitome Property Management System (PMS) together with the Internet-native epitome Enterprise applications suite which includes Channel Management, Central Information (CIS), Management Console, Central Reservations (CRS), Web Portal for B2B and B2C deployment and Business Intelligence (BI). This will assist Central Hotels and Resorts to centralize multi-property operations, improve efficiency and guest loyalty, whilst increasing profitability and maximize yields.
Coast Casinos Direct Connects to Expedia via Hotel Information Systems epitome Interface to Save Time and Money
Technology Streamlines More Than 30,000 Coast Casinos Reservations Booked Annually on Expedia.
BELLEVUE, Wash. December 14, 2004 Coast Casinos became the first hotel chain to install Expedia direct connect interface into its .Hotel Information Systems epitome for iSeries property management system (PMS). The technology streamlines the reservations process for more than 30,000 bookings made annually on Expedia across all four Coast Casinos properties in Las Vegas.
Hotel Information Systems was the first third-party PMS vendor to develop and roll-out Expedias direct connect interface, which reduces booking transaction costs by providing a more efficient method to process reservations. Since August, all four Coast Casinos properties The Orleans, the Gold Coast, the Suncoast, and the Barbary Coast have benefited from automated notification for reservations booked through Expedia.com. In the coming months, Coast Casinos will also add a notification system for Hotels.com bookings.
In January, Hotel Information Systems announced it would link all three of its epitome PMS systems to Expedias direct connect technology, which streamlines the reservations process and automates the management of available rates and inventory. Hotels and resorts using epitome for Windows, Unix, or iSeries were offered access to Expedias direct connect technology through this existing arrangement.
Earlier this year Expedia and Hotels.com began the first phase of deploying direct connect technology with participating hotels, which automated the delivery of bookings, thereby reducing labor costs. The second phase of the deployment, now underway, will give hotel partners the ability to automatically push real-time availability, rates, and inventory information to Expedia, thus enabling two-way communications between the different systems. This phase will also save hotels significant time and money by eliminating the need for loading rates manually into an extranet system. Expedias direct connect technology was designed from the ground up to serve the unique needs of the hotel.
